Veloci’s Flame 115 Heater is an outstanding addition to a contractor’s arsenal as a patented mid-level Radiant Heater. The innovation of the Italian Flame 115 Infrared Heater lies in the elimination of the refractory material cone that surrounds the conical combustion chamber which is typical of competitors’ units. The Flame 115 features a metallic, forced air insulation pocket between the combustion chamber and the external protection cone. The cooling air is blown through the pocket by the burner fan and pushed into the environment being heated. This method of heating, effectively serves as a hybrid style of heating through the use radiant and forced air heat. This innovative technology over-comes the well known problem of fragility within the cone of competitors’ models while providing a safer unit when in operation due to the air insulated cone.


Why infrared heating for a mobile heater? Radiant Heating, also known as Infrared, operates on the concept of Heat Transfer as compared to Heat Exchange (blowing heaters). Veloci’s Fire and Flame heaters are Radiant mobile units manufactured in Italy. These heaters have an internal burner that heats up an external face plate to 1400°F which transfers heat to any objects in front of it in a conical shape. Radiant units should technically not be used as space heaters since they do not heat air and, instead, heat objects. However, the Fire and Flame heaters have an air pocket that requires forced air. This unique technology yields a hybrid heater that effectively heats space and objects simultaneously. While the forced air output is only approximately 250 CFM, circulating air from heated objects, including the heater’s face, is the most efficient practice when fast heat is needed.
